The mistique of the eclipse, in which the sun, with its overwhelming presence, is obscured, is expressed with two contrasting materials, representing lights and shadow.

Everything in this whole world is made up of lights and shadow. This is known as the Yin and Yang principle. The energy of Yin and Yang, which permeate the heavens and the earth, form all things while both opposing and depending on each other. They do not deny or affirm, they simply exist.

Those energies also bring about a cyclical existence, with dusk and dawn, the moon and the sun, life and death. This world’s cycle reminds us that all beings are impermanent. It circulates, weathers, and eventually returns us to the emptiness we came from. Those things that temporarily appear as shapes leave a longer lasting impression, but concepts without tangibility will return to emptiness before long.

The body, energy, the five senses, and even these very feelings will also disappear. In that way, my mind and body know that my spirit will be healed when I truly learn the meaning of the emptiness that surrounds us.

Through this piece, I aim to temporarily give shape and meaning to these intangible things before they return to emptiness, as my creations are indeed also part of that cycle of the universe.

L’eclissi mistica, in cui il sole, con la sua presenza incontenibile, viene oscurato, è espressa con due materiali contrastanti, che rappresentano luci e ombre.

Tutto nel mondo intero è fatto da luci e ombre. Questo si conosce come principio dello Yin e Yang. L’energia dello Yin e Yang, che permea i cieli e la terra, forma tutte le cose, mentre entrambi si contrappongono e allo stesso tempo sono dipendenti l’uno dall’altro. Non si negano né si affermano, semplicemente esistono.

Queste energie comportano anche un’esistenza ciclica, con albe e tramonti, sole e luna, vita e morte. Questo ciclo del mondo ci ricorda che tutti gli inizi hanno una fine. Circola, girovaga e alla fine ci riporta al nulla da cui proveniamo. Queste cose che appaiono temporaneamente come forme lasciano un’impressione di più lunga durata, ma i concetti intangibili ritorneranno nel nulla in breve tempo.

Anche il corpo, l’energia, i cinque sensi e perfino gli stessi sentimenti scompariranno. Così, la mia mente e il mio corpo sanno che il mio spirito sarà sanato quando avrò compreso realmente il significato del nulla che ci circonda.

Attraverso quest’opera, ambisco a dare temporaneamente forma e significato a queste cose intangibili prima che ritornino nel nulla, dal momento che anche le mie creazioni sono, in effetti, parte del ciclo dell’universo.

この世の森羅万象は, 陽と陰で成る。これは陰陽論として知られる宇宙観である。陰と陽のエネルギーは天と地を充たし, 対立し支え合いながら総てのものをかたち作っていく。それらは抗うことも従うこともなく, ただ存在する。

陰と陽のエネルギーは, 循環をもたらすものでもある。黄昏と払暁, 月と太陽, そして生と死ー。それは, 一切の存在が永遠たり得ないことを覚らせてくれる。巡り, 移ろい, やがて元あった虚空へと還るだけである。かたちあるものとして立ち顕れる存在は, いくらか永く跡を残すだろう。しかし, 具象なき観念は, 幾許もなく烏有へと戻っていく。

身体, エネルギー, 智覚, そしてそれらを憶える意識そのものも, いずれ消散する。自らを取り巻く無の正体に触れたとき, 真に魂が救われるのだということを, わたしの心と身体は承知している。

本作品では, かたちなきものたちに, それらが無に還るまでの束の間の形姿と意味を与えることを目指している。何よりわたしの創作そのものが, まさにこの万物の環の一部に他ならないのだ。

Love beyond words,
Kiss, unity, fusion, a symbol of oneness.

I used to accept the concept of duality and natural order and that morality in this parallel world is like puzzle pieces that can be connected seamlessly but in a limited number of patterns. Under this reality, however, even if diamonds were to fall from sky my heart could not be fulfilled. My spirit was wandering in a misty dawn, hurtling towards the horizon as if to worship the morning sun.

It is a pursuit of wholeness beyond this reality that led me to seek and eventually find the essence of “oneness," which embraces and heals my spirit. The word of “oneness” showed me the way to a truth beyond duality and accepted morality. While it is true that this world is in many ways a result of duality, and that it is this contrast that allows the existence of lights and shadow, I feel that it also creates suffering in our lives, as the perception of difference brings prejudice, discrimination and conflict. We have unknowingly been aware of the duality of everything on Earth and have drawn boundaries in every concept around us. For a long time I struggled to free myself from this contemplation and find a compelling answer to this oversimplification.

I nonetheless believe we will one day come to the realization that true calmness exists in the non-binary world, in which oneness transcends all concepts of duality and morality. The realm of oneness is free from these through the energy of love and joy and is the only life essence that goes beyond them and is allowed to exceed all negative energies. Anxiety and suffering are a result of the soul’s tearing apart by the splitting of this parallel world. We will finally be wrapped in utmost calmness and kindness when we realize our soul will become one with the cosmos and oneness again.

What I hope to achieve through this piece is not to deny this duality and morality but to fuse the differences and show a loving unbounded world that breaks beyond the concepts of its very existence. I think, I try, or sometimes I just empty my mind and let go, letting my subconsciousness reflect its oneness with the universe, and thus allowing my work to become its message.

Ero solita accettare il concetto di dualità e di ordine naturale e che la moralità in questo mondo parallelo fosse come i pezzi di un puzzle che possono essere incastrati alla perfezione, ma in un numero limitato di schemi. In questa realtà, comunque, persino se i diamanti fossero caduti dal cielo, il mio cuore non avrebbe potuto sentirsi appagato. Il mio spirito stava vagando in un’alba nebbiosa, sfrecciando verso l’orizzonte come per adorare il sole del mattino.

C’è una ricerca di completezza dietro questa realtà che mi ha portato a cercare e alla fine trovare l’essenza della “oneness”, che abbraccia e guarisce il mio spirito. La parola “oneness” mi ha mostrato la via per una verità al di là del dualismo e della morale comune. Sebbene sia vero che questo mondo è, per molti versi, un esito del dualismo e che è questo stesso contrasto a consentire l’esistenza di luci e ombre, sento che crea anche sofferenza nelle nostre vite, dal momento che la percezione della differenza porta pregiudizio, discriminazione e conflitto. Siamo stati ‘inconsciamente consapevoli’ del dualismo del tutto sulla Terra e abbiamo demarcato i limiti dei concetti intorno a noi. Per molto tempo ho combattuto per liberarmi da questo punto di vista e trovare una risposta convincente a questa eccessiva semplificazione.

Ad ogni modo credo che un giorno arriveremo alla comprensione che la serenità esiste nel mondo non binario, in cui la “oneness” trascende tutti i concetti di dualismo e morale. La dimensione della “oneness” è liberata da questi concetti attraverso l’energia dell’amore e della gioia ed è l’unica essenza della vita che va al di là di essi e a cui è concesso di andare oltre le energie negative. Angoscia e sofferenza sono il risultato della lacerazione dell’anima causata dalla scissione da questo mondo parallelo. Finalmente saremo avvolti nell’assoluta quiete e cortesia quando realizzeremo che la nostra anima diventerà tutt’uno con il cosmo e nuovamente unita.

Quello che vorrei ottenere con questa opera non è di negare il dualismo e la morale, ma di fondere le differenze e mostrare un mondo amorevole e senza confini che va oltre i concetti della sua stessa esistenza. Penso, provo o qualche volta semplicemente svuoto la mia mente e lascio andare, consentendo al mio subconscio di rispecchiare la sua unità con l’universo e così permettendo al mio lavoro di diventare il suo messaggio.

一体性のシンボル

わたしはかつて, 物事の二元性や自然秩序といった観念を受け入れ, この複雑な世界における道理は, 継ぎ目なくつながっているように見えても, 実は限りあるパターンで構成されるパズルのようなものだと考えてきた。しかし実際のところは, たとえダイヤモンドが空から降り注ごうとも, わたしの心が満たされることはない。わたしの魂は霧がかった黎明を彷徨い, 夜明けの太陽を賛美するかの如く地平に向かっている。

これは一体性の希求であり, 魂を受容し癒す”oneness”の本質を追い, やがて見出すための営みである。”oneness”という言葉は, 二元論や使い古しの規範を超越した真理へと近づくための道を示してくれる。確かに, 多くの面で世界は二元性の事跡であり, 光と陰を織りなすのもこの対比である。他方で, それはまた偏見や差別, 衝突といった苦難をもたらすものではないだろうか。わたしたちは意図せず, 地上のもの凡てに対立を見, 境界を引いている。この呪縛から解き放たれ, 行き過ぎた単純化を乗り越える方途を, わたしは長い間探し, 足掻いてきた。

わたしは, いつか人びとが双対しない世界の中に真の安らぎを得て, そこではonenessが対立や規範を超えるだろうことを, 確信してもいる。onenessの境地では, 愛と喜びの力により人は枷を解かれ, あらゆるネガティブなエネルギーに打ち勝てる。不安や苦しみは分断していく世界によって引き裂かれる魂の仕儀であって, 魂が再びひとつになるとき, わたしたちはこれ以上ない安らぎと慈愛に包まれるに違いない。

この作品で, 私は二元性や旧知の規範を否定しようとしたわけではない。それよりも, 異なるものを融合し, そこから立ち現れる愛に満ちた境界なき世界を示したいのである。考え, 試行し, またあるときは心を空にして成り行きに身を任せ, 己の無意識によって万事一体となったつながりを表現できれば, わたしの作品はそれ自体がメッセージとなるだろう。

The exhalation ‘Ah’ indicates the beginning and the inhalation ‘Un’ indicates the end. It's contradictory, and yet a symbol of harmony and synchronisation. Not unlike breathing, the energy from the Earth swirling towards the heavens in a spiral symbolizes the beginning and end of the Universe.

These swirling energies are based on the inevitability of natural and life phenomena, which can be seen in the rotation of the Galaxy, the spiraling of whirlwinds and whirlpools, or the dancing of flames. We owe life, with all its creativity, to a simple double helix. We are in sync with this energy of life itself. It corresponds with our physical, emotional, and spiritual state of being. It is a reminder that we are in harmony with nature.

But this reality, with its beginning and end of life, is fleeting and ephemeral, and will eventually give way to emptiness. We will experience the joy of breathing on this Earth, then physically wither. Our soul will eventually return to its true home. Our existence is like a mere dream, with a simultaneous beginning and end. This is also in harmony with the providence of the universe.

Where do we come from and where are we going? These essential childhood questions now make me neither afraid nor anxious. By understanding our harmony with the universe, we can cherish our soul's return to its home.

L’espirazione ‘Ah’ indica l’inizio e l’inspirazione ‘Un’ la fine. É contraddittorio, e tuttavia un simbolo di armonia e sincronizzazione. Non diversamente dalla respirazione, l’energia dalla Terra sale verso i cieli in una spirale che simbolizza l’inizio e la fine dell’Universo.

Queste energie vorticose sono basate sull’inevitabilità dei fenomeni naturali e della vita, che possono essere visti nella rotazione della Galassia, le spirali di turbini e mulinelli, o la danza delle fiamme. Dobbiamo la vita, con tutta la sua creatività, a una semplice doppia elica. Siamo in sincronia con questa energia della vita stessa. Corrisponde al nostro stato fisico, emotivo e spirituale di esseri. È un promemoria del nostro essere in armonia con la natura.

Ma questa realtà, con il suo inizio e fine della vita, è labile ed effimera, e alla fine lascerà il posto al nulla. Proveremo la gioia di respirare su questa Terra, poi il nostro corpo appassirà. La nostra anima tornerà alla sua vera casa. La nostra esistenza è come un mero sogno, con un inizio e una fine simultanei. Questo è anche in armonia con il volere dell’Universo.

Da dove veniamo e dove stiamo andando? Queste domande essenziali dell’infanzia ora non mi spaventano né mi rendono ansiosa. Nel capire la nostra armonia con l’universo, possiamo apprezzare il ritorno a casa della nostra anima.
